Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) declined to the lowest level since 23 August, dragged by the negative performance of blue-chip stocks led by Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding, Dubai Islamic Bank, du and Dubai Investments.
The general index fell 3.65% or 119 points to close at 3,146.2 points.
Turnover rose to AED 417.68 million ($113.7 million) on Sunday from, compared to AED 319.3 million ($86.93 million) on Thursday. Meanwhile, trading volume declined to 334.27 million shares from 264.43 million shares.
The investment sector led losers after falling 7.38%, weighed by Dubai Investments and DFM Company which levelled down 7.14% and 8.62%, respectively.
The real estate sector decreased 4.4% as Arabtec and Emaar retreated 9.32% and 2.8% in a row.
The banks sector declined 2.2%, pressured by Dubai Islamic Bank and Emirates NBD which slid 2.82% and 1.83%, respectively.
The telecom sector slumped 2% as du dropped to AED 4.9.
