Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) index fell by 15.14 points, or 0.54%, to close at 2,787.44 points on Thursday, pressured by blue-chip stocks, lower liquidity, and thin trades.
The DFM’s turnover shrank to AED 204.007 million on Thursday after 139.110 million shares were exchanged through 2,278 transactions, compared to 167.04 million shares traded through 3,067 deals at a turnover of AED 306.97 million on Wednesday.
Market capitalisation lost AED 496 million to AED 364.554 billion on Thursday from AED 365.05 billion in the previous session.
The real estate sector declined 0.15% after Emaar Properties dropped 0.21%.
Similarly, the banks sector inched down 0.02% as Dubai Islamic Bank slid 9.82%.
In addition, the investment sector plunged 7.46%, pressured by the 0.57% drop in Dubai Investments.
