DFM ends 2019 down; turnover totals AED 305m

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) levelled down by 0.18% or 5.08 points to close Tuesday's session at 2,764.86 points.

The bourse’s liquidity totalled AED 305.37 million after 156.85 million shares were traded through 1,783 transactions.

The market cap value registered AED 374.17 billion, down by around AED 160,000 from AED 374.33 billion on Monday.

The banks segment inched down by 0.46%, followed by the real estate with 0.32%, whereas the services and consumer staples segments added 0.74% and 0.47%, respectively.

Dar Al Takaful came on top of the fallers with 4.28%, whereas Takaful Emarat headed the risers with 13.91%.

Meanwhile, Emaar Properties saw the highest turnover of AED 72.17 million, while DFM Company led the trading activity through the exchange of 35.69 million shares.

The blue chip stock of Dubai Investments went down by 1.52%, whereas DXB Entertainments edged up by 0.56%.
