Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday, the last trading session in January, in the green, supported by the growth of blue-chip stocks.
The general index went up 29.03 points, or 1.14%, ending the last session of the week at 2,567.59 points.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 145.75 million shares exchanged with a turnover of AED 191.47 million through 3,225 transactions.
The real estate sector topped gainers with 1.37% after Emaar Properties, Arabtec Holding and Deyaar Development rose 1.17%, 1.89% and 3.27%, respectively.
Similarly, the banks sector advanced 1.29% on the back of the heavyweight Emirates NBD and GFH, which increased 1.49% and 4.26%, respectively.
