DFM ends Monday in green

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s session up 0.04% to close at 3,492.96 points.

DFM was backed by the real estate and banks sectors with a rise of 0.21% and 0.13% respectively.

The upward performance of the index came in line with the growth of DSI which topped the winners with 2.6%, as well as Emaar and DIB which gained 0.3% and 0.37% respectively.

Meanwhile, the consumer goods sector led the decliners with a fall of 0.64%, dragged by Dubai Parks which dropped 0.62%.

DFM’s trading value shrank to AED 329.47 million, while trading volume decreased to 322.65 million shares.

The main index of DFM is expected to continue falling to the levels 3,450 and 3,400 points during this week, dragged by the downward performance of Dow Jones index, said capital market analyst Muhammad Mahdi.
