Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Monday’s trading session with positive performance, supported by investor optimism.
The main index levelled up 0.58% to finish the session at 2,797.06 points.
Market capitalisation gained as much as AED 771 million.
The DFM’s turnover amounted to AED 226.04 million on Monday after 149.28 million shares were exchanged through 2,771 transactions.
Dubai Investments’ stock topped risers with 3.8%, followed by DFM Company and Air Arabia with 1.18% and 1.43%, respectively.
The insurance sector grew 0.85% on the back of Salama Insurance’s 2.74% jump.
Dubai Islamic Bank’s (DIB) stock, which advanced 1.61%, led the market in terms of trading volume with 9.81 million shares, generating AED 49.25 million in liquidity.
