DFM ends Monday in red

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell by the end of Monday’s trading session, as the DFM Index levelled down by 0.38% to close at 2,777.07 points after losing 10.57 points.

The bourse’s turnover totalled AED 160.1 million after 89.37 million shares were traded through 1,934 transactions.

The market cap value plunged by AED 1.30 billion to AED 367.99 billion on Monday when compared to AED 369.29 billion a day earlier.

The services sector went down by 1.67%, while the banks edged up by 0.31%, and the consumer staples sector remained unchanged.

Al Salam Bank - Sudan topped the fallers with 5.88%, whereas the Dubai National Insurance and Reinsurance was the top gainer with 10.98%.

Emirates NBD logged the highest liquidity of AED 66.31 million, while Deyaar Development led the trading activity with 18.95 million shares.
