DFM ends Monday near stable

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s trading session near stable after the general index inched up 3.45 points, or 0.14%, to 2,534.80 points.

The bourse’s market capitalisation stood at AED 343.875 billion on Monday, compared to AED 343.468 billion on Sunday.

The DFM’s trading volume stood at 173.47 million shares by the end of Monday, compared to 206.67 million on Sunday, while liquidity went down to AED 148.94 million against AED 148.83 million in the previous session.

Union Properties’ stock topped gainers with 4.11%, followed by Arabtec Holding, Emirates NBD and Air Arabia with 2.5%, 2.14% and 2.14%, respectively.

On the other hand, the consumer staples sector headed the bourse’s losers falling 2.01%, followed by the telecommunication, real estate and investment sectors with 0.4%, 0.17% and 0.16%, respectively.
