DFM ends Monday’s session down

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s trading session in the red territory, after eight straight gains.

The general index inched down 0.23%, closing the session at 2,661.25 points.

By the end of the session, the market lost up to AED 990 million in market capitalisation.

The insurance sector topped the decliners, falling 1.92% as Oman Insurance Company and Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) plunged 9.59% and 2.15%, respectively.

Similarly, the transportation sector dropped 1.77% as Aramex and Air Arabia retreated 2.01% and 1.8%, respectively, while the real estate sector decreased by 0.84%.
