Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) edged down by 0.95% or 18.07 points to settle at 1,883.51 points by the end of Monday's trading session.
The market cap value declined by AED 1.41 billion to AED 277.54 billion from AED 278.95 billion during the previous session.
Around 201.25 million shares were traded through 4,156 transactions valued at AED 205.14 million.
The banks sector led the decliners with1.43%, followed by the investment and financial services with 1.34%.
Shuaa Capital headed 27 losing stocks with 4.97%, while Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (du) topped three rising stocks with 3%.
Deyaar Development posted the highest trading volume of 37.97 million shares, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), down 2.34%, recorded the highest turnover of AED 60.82 million.
Damac Properties came on top of the rising blue chips with 2.48%.
