Dubai – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session in the negative territory, dragged down by high sales and the financial results of 2018.
The general index fell 12.95 points, or 0.51%, closing the first session of this week at 5,529.72 points.
The bourse’s turnover stood at AED 75.97 million on Sunday compared to AED 231.72 million on Thursday, while trading volume plunged to 56.56 million shares from 130.47 million shares in the previous session.
The investment sector topped decliners with 5.28% as DXB Entertainments fell 6.40%, while the consumer staples sector went down 2.37% on the back of Amanat Holding’s 2.78% drop.
The real estate sector levelled down 0.58% as Damac Properties and Emaar Development retreated 2.17% and 1.75%, respectively.
