Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Thursday’s trading session on a positive note.
The DFM’s general index added 10.98 points, or 0.38%, to 2,890.92 points.
Trading volume amounted to 143.021 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 347.862 million through 2,837 transactions.
Market capitalisation gained AED 1.50 billion and closed the session at AED 376.509 billion.
The banks, the services, the investment, and financial services sectors went up by 0.96%, 0.72%, and 0.12%, respectively.
On the other hand, the real estate and the consumer staples sectors shed 0.54% and 0.37% each.
Emirates NBD, up 1.47%, was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 143.109 million, while Gulf Navigation was the most active stock by volume after seeing a trading volume of 63.749 million shares.
Meanwhile, blue-chip stocks including Emaar Properties, Damac Properties, and Arabtec fell by 0.79%, 0.63%, and 0.62%, respectively.
