Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market has seen a bullish trend on Thursday backed by selective buying in some of the blue-chip stocks.
The DFM’s general index inched up 0.51 points, or 0.02%, to 2,810.46 points, shrugging off the previous declines.
The telecommunication sector headed the sectors with 1.80% as du’s stock rose by the same percentage.
The transport sector added 0.34% backed by Air Arabia’s stock that levelled up by 0.76% to AED 1.33.
Likewise, the real estate sector edged up by 0.24% when Emaar Properties rose by 1.11% to AED 4.55.
On the other hand, the investment and the consumer staples sectors fell by 1.28% and 0.82%, respectively.
The banks sector slipped by 0.17% pressured by Emirates NBD that went down by 0.38% to AED 13.15.
Trading volume amounted to nearly 174.96 million shares that were exchanged through 2,672 transactions at a turnover of AED 157.19 million.
