DFM ends Thursday in green

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 0.12% or 2.12 points at Thursday’s close to settle at 1,722.87 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 197.99 million where 149.77 million shares were traded through 3,840 transactions.

The investment and financial services sector inched up by 0.36%, whereas the services segment went down by 2.01%. The consumer staples sector remained unchanged.  

Emaar Malls came on top of 15 gainers with 10.68%, whereas Emaar Development led 11 decliners with 4.83%.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) achieved the highest turnover of AED 63.16 million, whereas Union Properties led the trading activity through the exchange of 30.40 million shares.

As for the leading stocks, Dubai Investments and Arabtec Holding levelled up by 0.93% and 0.84%, respectively, whereas DIB declined by 2.05%.
