DFM ends Wednesday in green

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has closed Wednesday’s trading session on a positive note amid the emergence of selective buying transactions in some of the blue-chip stocks, particularly real estate stocks.

The DFM’s general index rose by 13.37 points, or 0.48%, to 2,809.95 points.

Trading volume amounted to 203.68 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 197.69 million through 3,092 transactions.

Market capitalisation gained AED 1.15 billion and closed the session at AED 371.18 billion.

The investment and financial services sector increased by 1.14%, followed by the banks sector that added 0.65%.

Similarly, the consumer staples levelled up by 0.42% and the real estate went up by 0.35%.

On the other hand, the services sector was the sole decliner, closing the session down by 2.22%.

The stock market has witnessed the rise of 22 stocks headed by Amalak Finance that jumped by 14.39%, while nine stocks fell led by Tabreed that shed 4.12%.
