Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened in the red on Thursday, backed by the leading stocks of real estate, banks and investment sectors.
The general index declined 0.82% or 25.7 points to reach 3,124.56 points by 10:40am.
The investment sector retreated 1.09% as Dubai Investments lost 1.5%, while the FGM Company remained unchanged.
The real estate sector decreased 0.85% after Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties levelled down 1.57% and 1.05%, respectively.
The banks sector slid 0.83% due to a drop in Emirates NBD and Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) by 3.27% and 0.16% in a row.
The telecom and industrial sectors remained unchanged.
Turnover reached AED 71.86 million after 75 million shares were traded through 651 transactions.
