DFM gains 13.27 pts in week

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed the week ended 13 June in the green zone, backed by blue chips topped by Damac Properties and Arabtec Holdings.

The general index added 4.01% or 136.27 points to reach 3,537.42 points.

The real estate sector topped gainers with a 6.54% rise as Damac Properties and Arabtec Holding climbed 21.5% and 9.28%, respectively.

The investments sector levelled up 4.94% as Dubai Investments and DFM Company rose 5.6% and 3.5%, respectively.

The banks sector added 1.87% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) grew 3% and 2.35%, respectively. The telecom sector also went up 1.33%.

Turnover reached AED 1.54 billion this week, compared to AED 1.13 billion last week. Trading volume stood at 976.87 million shares, compared to 760.26 million shares.
