DFM gains AED 166m on Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose slightly on Monday, the last trading session of September 2019.

The DFM’s general index inched up 0.53 points, or 0.02%, to 2,781.07 points.

Trading volume amounted to 65.69 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 94.65 million through 1,649 transactions.

Market capitalisation gained AED 166 million and closed the session at AED 365.584 billion.

The investment and financial services sector increased 1.46% backed by Dubai Investments that rose by 2.38% to AED 1.29, followed by the services sector that went up 1.20%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector shed 0.38% and the banks sector slipped 0.09%, while the consumer staples sector remained stable.

The stock market has witnessed the fall of 15 stocks headed by Shuaa Capital that dropped by 4.27% to AED 0.942, while other 15 stocks rose topped by International Financial Advisors (IFA) that gained 4.62% to AED 0.680.

Emaar Properties was the most active stock by value with a turnover of AED 19.24 million, while Air Arabia was the most active stock by volume with 11.08 million traded shares.
