Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note.
The DFM’s general index added 8.01 points, or 0.28%, to 2,879.51 points.
Trading volume amounted to 149.552 million shares that were exchanged at a turnover of AED 239.951 million through 2,434 transactions.
Market capitalisation gained AED 610 million and closed the session at AED 374.608 billion.
The services sector increased by 1.60%, followed by the real estate sector that added 0.38%.
Similarly, the banks sector levelled up 0.14% and the investment and financial services sector inched up 0.01%.
Takaful Emarat’s stock topped the winners after rising 2.92% to AED 1.41, while Salama’s stock headed the losers after closing the session down 2.16% to AED 0.680.
At the level of blue-chip stocks’ performance, Emaar Properties and Damac Properties went up by 0.40% to AED 5.01 and 0.21% to AED 0.94, respectively.
On the other hand, DXB Entertainments and Emirates NBD shed 0.44% to AED 0.23 and 0.37% to AED 0.37 each.
