DFM grows 33 pts at Tuesday’s close

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Tuesday’s trading session with positive performance, supported by purchases on the real estate and banks sectors.  

The DFM’s general index increased by 1.22%, or 33.01 points, to finish the mid-week session at 2,729.86 points.

Turnover grew to AED 359.13 million on Tuesday, compared to AED 283.34 million on Monday, while trading volume decreased to 137.12 million shares, against 139.75 million shares in the prior session.

The DFM’s market capitalisation increased by AED 2.6 billion, reaching AED 358.32 billion.

By the end of the session, the goods sector topped gainers with 4.83% as DXB Entertainments added 5.6%, while the insurance sector grew 1.75% on the back of Dar Takaful’s 6.31% jump.

Similarly, the real estate sector levelled up 1.62% after Emaar Properties and Deyaar grew 3.22% and 0.57%, respectively, while the banks sector advanced 1.31% as Emirates NBD levelled up 2.38%.
