DFM hits 2-week high at close Sunday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) main index closed in the green on Sunday pushed by some blue chips, marking its highest closing in 10 sessions or two weeks.

The DFMGI rose 0.56% or 20.21 points to 3,611.31 points.

The banks sector grew 0.69% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) added 1.15%.

The real estate gained 0.39% after Drake and Scull International (DSI), Arabtec Holding, Deyaar Properties, and Emaar increased by 4.68%, 1.70%, 1.42%, and 0.12%, respectively.

Trading volume reached 361.9 million shares, generating AED 505.8 million through 5,452 transactions.

DSI’s stock was the most actively-traded in terms of both volume and value, with 92.3 million shares, generating AED 165 million.
