Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has seen a bull-run on Wednesday on the back of the rising blue-chip stocks.
The DFM’s general index closed today’s trading session up 31.03 points, or 1.17%, at 2,687.23 points, its highest level since the beginning of July.
Trading volume amounted to 133.74 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 204.90 million through 2,896 transactions.
The bourse’s market capitalisation gained AED 2.70 million and closed the session at AED 353.401 million.
The real estate sector led top gainers with 2.66%, followed by the investment and financial services and the banks sectors that rose by 1.06% and 0.50%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the consumer goods and the services sector shed 1.28% and 0.61%, respectively.
Emaar Properties, up 4.77%, was the most heavily traded stock with a turnover of AED 80.414 million.
