DFM inches up on cherry-picking deals Tuesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Tuesday’s trading session with positive performance, supported by cherry-picking buying transactions on blue-chip stocks.

The main index levelled up 0.17% to finish the mid-week session at 2,801.96 points.

The DFM’s turnover amounted to AED 207.46 million on Tuesday after 150.43 million shares were exchanged through 2,522 transactions.

The industrial sector topped gainers with 14.56% as National Cement Company hiked 14.56%, while the investment sector increased by 1.93% on the back of Dubai Investments’ 2.04% jump.

Similarly, the telecommunication and services sectors levelled up 1.58% and 0.76%, respectively.

On the other hand, the commodities and banks sector declined 3.8% and 0.17%, respectively.
