DFM index opens in red

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Sunday’s early trades, weighed down by the fall of six sectors led by the investment and banks stocks.

The main index declined 0.28% or 9.24 points to reach 3,325.52 points by 10:40am UAE time.

The investment sector led losers after falling 1.46%, dragged down by SHUAA Capital which declined 3.2%. The banks sector went down 0.35% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) retreated 0.57%.

The transportation sector slid 0.29% after Aramex sank 1.6%.

The market saw trading of 45.52 million shares through 477 transactions, with a turnover of AED 34.22 million.
