Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Monday in red, as Emaar and Dubai Islamic Bank moved down, while Arabtec was green.
The benchmark index dipped 0.47% or 14 points to the level of 2,949.78 points in early trading.
The DFM closed yesterday with a slight fall, driven by the fall in Emaar, Dubai Investments and Emirates Integrated Telecommunications (DU) shares, while banks sector and Arabtec trimmed the losses as they closed in green.
The goods sector topped the losers with a drop of 0.79%, affected by the losses of Dubai Parks, while Marka was flat.
The real estate sector came second after shrinking 0.67%, with a 1.76% by Emaar and a growth of 3.45% by Arabtec.
Meanwhile, the banks sector’s losses were 0.58%, as Dubai Islamic Bank fell 1.2%. Telecom, Investment and industrial sectors stood at the same rates.
Turnover reached AED 70.3 million through 1,100 transactions on 57.2 million shares.
