DFM levels down 48 pts in week; Banks shed over 2%

Dubai - Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s general index shed 48.15 points, or 1.75%, to 2,698.78 points in a week.

The banking sector declined by 2.08% and the real estate sector lost 2.09%. 

Market capitalisation went down to AED 369.289 billion over the week, compared to AED 372.689 billion in the previous week.

Emirates NBD decreased by 4.5%, while Emaar Development dropped 4.19%. Emaar Properties lost 2.11%, Emaar Malls sank 0.5%, and DXB Entertainments levelled down by 0.97%.

The DFM’s trading volume reached 280.15 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 541.26 million.
