DFM loses 0.59% at Sunday’s open

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Sunday’s early trades.

The main index fell 0.59% or 21.1 points to reach 3,562.56 points.

The real estate sector was the top loser with a 0.61% decline as Union Properties (UP), Arabtec Holdings, and Emaar Properties sank 1.92%, 1.92%, and 0.26%, respectively.

The banks sector slid 0.44% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) levelled down 0.7%.

Gulf Navigation Holding led losers with a 4% decline, while Takaful Al Emarat grew 1.27%.

The market saw trading of 55.12 million shares through 860 transactions, with a turnover of AED 80 million.

DXB Entertainments was the most active stock after trading 20.13 million shares, while GFH Financial Holding was the value leader with a turnover of AED 20.22 million.
