DFM loses 21 pts on Sunday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) decreased by 1.09% or 21.03 points to 1,901.58 points by the end of Sunday's trading session, unlike its upward performance on Thursday, 7 March.

The market cap value dropped by AED 2.19 billion to settle at AED 278.95 billion, compared to AED 281.14 billion during the previous session.

Around AED 162.86 million shares were traded through 3,793 transactions at a total value of AED 182.72 million.

The services sector topped the decliners with 1.68%, followed by the consumer staples segment with 1.34%.

Al Salam Group Holding led 26 losing stocks with 4.66%, while Dar Al Takaful came on top of three rising stocks with 4.13%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 20.36 million shares, while Emaar Properties recorded the highest turnover of AED 33.06 million.

As for the blue chips, DXB Entertainments hit the top of the losers with 1.44%.
