DFM loses 23 pts on Wednesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) declined by 1.11% or 23.24 points to 2,065.30 points by the end of Wednesday's trading session, unlike its upward performance on Tuesday, 21 July.

A total of 222.38 million shares were exchanged through 3,530 transactions valued at AED 214.46 million.

The market cap decreased by AED 2.36 billion to AED 293.97 billion, compared to AED 296.33 billion during the previous session.

The consumer staples sector came on top of the losers with 2.95%, followed by the real estate segment with 2.24%.

Arabtec Holding led the losing stocks with 4.90%, while Dar Al Takaful headed the rising stocks with 4.89%.

GFH Financial Group was the most active stock with 65.79 million shares traded at a total value of AED 37.95 million.

DXB Entertainments topped the losing blue chips with 3.20%, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) led the rising blue chips with 0.26%.
