Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a bearish performance on Thursday for the third session in a row, dragged down by the fall of the investment and real estate sectors.
The main index lost 0.73% or 24.38 points to reach 3,327.17 points, its lowest level in six months.
Trading volume reached 215.28 million shares on Thursday, compared to 216.232 million shares on Wednesday.
The consumer staples sector led losers with a 2.58% decline as DXB Entertainments went down 2.8%.
The real estate sector went down 0.99% as Deyaar Development, Arabtec Holding, Union Properties, and Emaar Properties slid 3.50%, 3.3%, 3.12%, and 0.41%, respectively.
The telecom sector went down 0.37% as du retreated 0.37%, while the banks sector sank 0.22% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) fell 0.34%.
