Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) dropped by 3.96% or 80.27 points to end Sunday's trading session on a negative note at 1,946.34 points, unlike its positive performance on Thursday.
The market cap value registered AED 282.83 billion, down by AED 8.07 billion from AED 290.9 billion during the previous session.
Around 263.57 million shares were exchanged through 4,183 transactions valued at AED 217.39 million.
The investment and financial services sector led the decliners with 4.94%, followed by the real estate segment with 4.76%.
Amlak Finance headed 30 losing stocks with 5%, while Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) topped three rising stocks with 14.89%.
Islamic Arab Insurance Company (Salama) posted the highest trading volume of 39.62 million shares, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) recorded the highest turnover of AED 34.44 million.
Dubai Investments came on top of the losing blue chips with 5%.
