DFM loses AED 530m on Wednesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Wednesday's trading session on a red territory after the benchmark index went down by 0.65% or 12.62 points to 1,919.04 points.

The market cap value declined by AED 530 million to AED 280.89 billion from AED 281.42 billion during the previous session.

Around 209.58 million shares were traded through 3,424 transactions valued at AED 217.37 million.

The investment and financial services sector led the decliners with 2.54%, while the banks segment marginally increased by 0.15%.

Air Arabia headed 22 losing stocks with 3.73%, while Gulfa Mineral Water and Processing Industries Company topped 10 rising stocks with 14.78%.

Al Salam Bank – Bahrain posted the highest trading volume of 73.68 million shares traded at a total value of AED 45.24 million.

As for the blue chips, Dubai Investments came on top of the losers with 2.63%, while Emirates NBD led the winners with 1.81%.
