Dubai - Mubasher: The general index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 4.2 points, or 0.15%, to 2,769.09 points in a week.
Market capitalisation went down by AED 700 million to AED 374.66 billion over the week, compared to AED 375.36 billion in the previous week.
The banking sector added 0.3% and the industrial sector rose by 0.2%, while the consumer staples sector shed 3%.
Dubai Islamic Bank and Emaar Properties levelled up by 1.3% and 0.7%, respectively. Emaar Development and Emaar Malls added 0.5% each.
At the other end of the spectrum, Emirates NBD lost 0.4% and DXB Entertainments plunged 3.6%.
The DFM’s trading volume reached 383.55 million shares, while the market’s liquidity amounted to AED 581.24 million.
