Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) decreased by 1.11% or 21.63 points to end Monday's trading session at 1,924.71 points, keeping its negative performance for the second consecutive session.
The market cap value declined by AED 2.12 billion to AED 280.71 billion, compared to AED 282.83 billion on Sunday.
Around 347.03 million shares were exchanged through 5,847 transactions valued at AED 320.46 million.
The consumer staples sector led the losers with 3.74%, while the services segment topped the risers with 0.66%.
Ekttitab Holding headed 23 losing stocks with 4.57%, while Dubai Refreshments hit the top of seven rising stocks with 10.77%.
GFH Financial Group was the most active stock with 46.38 million traded shares, while Emaar Properties posted the highest turnover of AED 82.14 million.
DXB Entertainments led the losing blue chips with 4%, while Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) headed the rising blue chips with 0.28%.
