Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed in the green for the second session in row on Thursday amid the positive performance of blue-chips led by Emaar Properties.
The DFMGI rose 2.79% or 82.87 points to reach 3,058.42 points, moving above the 3,000-point level.
Turnover jumped to AED 604.4 million ($164.5 million) on Thursday, compared to AED 373.25 million ($101.6 million) on Wednesday. Likewise, trading volume increased to 458.5 million shares from 233.1 million shares.
The real estate sector grew 4.54%, followed by the telecom, banks and investment sectors at 3.6%, 1.42% and 0.85% in a row.
On the other hand, the industrial sector remained unchanged.
On the stock-level, Emaar Properties advanced 6.09%, followed by the Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), Emirates NBD, Arabtec Holding and Dubai Investments at 1.7%, 1.35%, 0.86% and 0.57%, respectively.
DFM Company levelled up 0.85% amid anticipation of its financials to be announced on Thursday.
