DFM maintains gains for 3rd session Sunday

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance on Sunday for the third session in row, backed by the the rise of real estate, telecom and banks stocks.

The DFMGI increased 1.67% or 56.14 points to reach 3,417.05 points.

Trading volume reached 1.048 billion shares on Sunday, compared to 792.95 million shars last Wednesday. Turnover stood at AED 1.33 billion, compared to AED 1.08 billion.

The real estate sector levelled up 3.29% as Union Properties went up 10.5% and reached its highest level in 16 months. The growth of Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding by 3.08% and 2.31% respectively also contributed to the market's gains.

The telecom sector rose 2.09% as du gained 2.09%. The banks sector also went up 1.25% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) advanced 3.05%.

The investment sector levelled up 0.77% as DFM Company and Amlak Finance grew 4.39% and 3.28% respectively.
