DFM maintains upward performance on Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) rose by 1.03% or 22.6 points to settle at 2,205.97 points by the end of Monday's trading session, maintaining its upward performance on Sunday, 16 August.

A total of 217.90 million shares were traded through 3,936 transactions valued at AED 530.60 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 3.05 billion to AED 309.05 billion, compared to AED 306 billion during the previous session.

The banks segment led the risers with 2.34%, while the real estate segment came on top of the decliners with 0.29%.

Emirates NBD topped the green zone, while Dubai Refreshments headed the red zone with 4.94%.

Gulf Navigation Holding posted the highest trading volume with 37.44 million shares, while Emirates NBD recorded the highest turnover of AED 87.56 million.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) led the rising blue chips with 0.51%, while Arabtec Holding headed the losing blue chips with 4.90%.
