Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a negative performance in Thursday’s early trades, weighed down by the fall of banks stocks.
The general index fell 1.44% or 40.30 points to reach 3,579.40 points by 11:40am UAE time.
The banks sector decreased 5.01% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) and GFH Financial Holding levelled down 8.7% and 2.64%, respectively.
The consumer staples sector tumbled 1.6% after DXB Entertainments sank 1.9%.
Turnover amounted to AED 385.14 million after trading 207.04 million shares through 2,887 transactions.
