DFM opens Wednesday higher

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Wednesday’s early trades in the green, backed by the rise of three sectors topped by banks and real estate.

The general index added 0.05% or 1.6 points to reach 3,536.82 points by 10:55am UAE time.

The services sector climbed 0.62% as Amanat Holdings went up 0.9%.

The banks sector grew 0.24% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) gained 0.52%.

The real estate sector levelled up 4.8% due to a rise in Drake and Scull International (DSI) and Arabtec Holding, which added 4.8% and 0.4%, respectively.

Turnover amounted to AED 140.71 million after trading 157.82 million shares through 1,449 transactions.
