Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened in the green on Wednesday, driven by stronger blue chips, especially Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties.
The DFMGI added 0.8% or 27.9 points to reach 3,397.7 points by 10:40am UAE time.
The UAE markets are expected to see a positive performance on Wednesday, amid a tendency of some portfolio investors to increase their speculative positions, analysts earlier told Mubasher.
The investment sector advanced 1.36% as DFM Company increased 1.4%.
The real estate sector levelled up 1.2%, supported by Emaar and Arabtec which increased by 1.7% and 1.15%, respectively.
The banks sector rose 0.4% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) grew 0.8%.
The market saw trading of 237.48 million shares through 2,705 transactions, with turnover of AED 269.8 million.
