Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market opened Wednesday's trading session on a negative note amid key sectors’ downturn and unlike analysts' outlook.
By 10:20am Dubai time, the benchmark index initiated the session 0.88% lower to 3,438.94 points.
The consumer staples' sector led the losers with a slide of 1.2% after Dubai Parks opened 1.2% down.
The real estate sector declined 1.03% on Emaar and Arabtec that slid by 2.05% and 0.7% respectively.
The transportation sector slipped 0.9% as Aramex declined 2%.
The investment sector fell by 0.7% coupled with a 0.9 slide of DFM stock.
The banking sector dipped 0.6%, weakened by a 1.12% decrease of Dubai Islamic bank.
Trading volume reached 33.79 million shares traded in 735 transactions at AED 57.12 million.
