Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market’s (DFM) indices declined early Sunday, shrugging off analysts’ expectations, pressured by most of the bourse’s sectors, particularly banks and real estate.
The DFMGI shed 0.54% or 18.68 points to 3,453.22 points by 10:30am UAE time. Turnover reached AED 38.33 million after 33.67 million shares were traded through 444 transactions.
The banking sector led losers, falling 0.45% after Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) retreated 0.94%, while the real estate sector declined 0.4% as Emaar and Arabtec were down 0.75% and 0.70%, respectively.
The investment sector fell 0.35% pressured by DFM Company’s stock, which lost 0.70%.
