Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has closed Monday’s trading session in the red territory.
The DFM’s general index dropped 58.08 points, or 2.03%, finishing the session at 2,799.83 points.
Trading volume amounted to 149.27 million shares exchanged through 3,634 transactions at a turnover of AED 204.51 million.
The consumer staples sector led the decliners with a decrease of 3.8%, followed by the real estate, the banks, and the telecommunication sectors that fell by 3.13%, 1.71%, and 1.61%, respectively.
Likewise, the investment sector slipped 0.56% as Shuaa Capital and Dubai Investments shed 1.02% and 0.74%, respectively.
Itmaar’s stock, down 7.98%, led the losers, and Emaar Properties, Emaar Development, and Emaar Malls fell by 3.25%, 2.39%, and 4.83%, respectively.
Market capitalisation closed today’s session at AED 366.616 billion, losing AED 5.749 billion.
