DFM resumes gains on Tuesday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) edged up by 0.89% or 18.32 points to close Tuesday's trading session at 2,070.02 points, reversing its losses on Monday.

The market cap value grew by AED 1.97 billion to AED 292.39 billion, compared to AED 290.42 billion during the previous session.

A total of 408.66 million shares were traded through 5,244 transactions at a total value of AED 298.70 million.

The services sector led the risers with 3.08%, while the consumer staples segment remained unchanged.

The Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) came on top of 20 rising stocks with 7.24%, while Union Properties topped eight losing stocks with 4.98%.

Union Properties posted the highest trading volume of 111.41 million shares, while Amanat Holdings recorded the highest turnover of AED 77.63 million.

Arabtec Holding topped the rising blue chips with 6.47%.
