DFM resumes upward performance on Monday

Dubai – Mubasher: The benchmark index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) went up by 0.56% or 12.74 points to settle at 2,271.29 points by the end of Monday's trading session, unlike its negative performance on Sunday, 6 September.

A total of 331.65 million shares were traded through 4,185 transactions valued at AED 194.51 million.

The market cap value increased by AED 1.1 billion to AED 314.86 billion, compared to AED 313.76 billion during the previous session.

The banks sector led the risers with 0.83%, while the consumer staples segment topped the decliners with 3.16%.

Ithmaar Holding topped the rising stocks with 14.97%, while Arabtec Holding headed the losing stocks with 4.99%.

Aan Digital Services Co posted the highest trading volume of 74.46 million shares, while Emirates NBD recorded the highest turnover of AED 44.21 million.

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) led the rising blue chips with 0.94%, while DXB Entertainments came on top of the losing blue chips with 3.4%.
