DFM rises Wednesday amid higher trades

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw a positive performance on Wednesday, backed by the rise of telecom and real estate sectors.

The main index grew 0.01% to close at 3,447.44 points.

Trading volume reached 147.4 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 130.06 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 263.27 million, compared to AED 158.48 million.

The transportation sector topped gainers with a 1.04% rise as Aramex added 2%. The telecom sector climbed 0.66% after du increased 0.66%.

The real estate sector gained 0.15% as Arabtec Holding and Emaar Properties climbed 1.25% and 0.28%, respectively.

On the flipside, the investment sector slid 1.31% as International Financial Advisors (IFA) tumbled 5.4%.

The banks sector fell 0.14% as Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) retreated 0.54%.
