Dubai-Mubasher: Dubai Financial Market (DFM) saw an upward trend in Wednesday’s early trades, backed by the positive performance of real estate sector led by Emaar Properties and Arabtec Holding.
The general index rose 0.85% or 26.56 points to reach 3,161.38 points by 10:30am UAE time.
The real estate sector led gainers after adding 1.65%, spurred by Arabtec and Emaar which went up 4.8% and 1.23% in a row.
The investment sector levelled up 0.58% as DFM Company increased 1.65%.
The banks sector grew 0.47% due to a rise in Emirates NBD by 1.37%.
On the flipside, the transportation sector declined 0.26%, weighed by Air Arabia which was the only loser.
The market saw trading of 146.17 million shares through 1,600 transactions, with turnover of AED 125.78.
