Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has closed Monday’s trading session slightly up amid selective buying after three consecutive declines.
The DFM’s general index inched up 0.28 points or 0.01%, finishing the session at 2,614.31 points.
The insurance sector led the gainers with a 2.32% increase when Salama added 3.86% in line with the appointment of Jassim Alseddiqi as the company’s chairman.
The transport sector went up 1.39% as Aramex and Air Arabia rose 1.91% and 0.94%, respectively.
The telecommunication sector rose 1% as Du increase by the same percentage.
Similarly, the investment sector edged up 0.13% after the DFM’s stock added 0.86% to AED 0.703.
On the other hand, the consumer goods, real estate, and banks sectors shed 0.89%, 0.41%, and 0.14%, respectively.
Trading volume amounted to 96.04 million shares exchanged at a turnover of AED 114.79 million through 2,481 transactions.
