DFM’s index grows 1.3% at Sunday’s close

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Sunday’s trading session in the green territory, pushed higher by global oil prices and companies’ announcements of cash dividends for the full-year 2018.

The general index grew 1.33%, closing the first session of the week at 2,668.64 points.

By the end of the session, the market capitalisation increased by AED 3.27 billion.

The real estate sector topped gainers, adding 3.44% as DAMAC Properties and Emaar Malls levelled up 8.4% and 5.14%, respectively.

Similarly, the transportation sector jumped 3.37% on the back of Air Arabia’s 2.9% growth, while the investment sector went up 1.81% as Dubai Investments and SHUAA Capital increased by 2.5% and 1.18%, respectively.
