Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) opened Sunday in green, supported by a rise in the telecom, real estate and banks sectors.
The benchmark index advanced 0.3% or 11.4 points to the level of 3,595.24 points.
The telecom was the best performing sector after gaining 3.5%, as du grew by the same percentage.
The banks sector also added 0.25% thanks to an increase of 0.8% in Dubai Islamic Bank.
The Real estate sector moved 0.05% up as Drake and Scull and Union Properties rose by 1.04% and 0.7% respectively.
On the other hand, the investment sector slid 0.26%, pressured by DFM which fell 0.6%.
Trading volume came to 162.64 million shares which were exchanged at AED 169.73 million through executing 1,730 transactions.
The bourse’s main gauge closed Thursday’s session with a rise of 1.07%.
